Resurfacing.....

Hi everyone! That was great christmas, the way it should be, a week of eating.....and eating....and not much else! My camera's almost given up but i've got some christmas money and i know what i'm gonna be buying!!! Consequently, not many festive shots but here's a good one of Michelle from Maison Bertaux when she came in on Christmas eve to do her shopping...

...and this is duke and joe because it's funny but also they kind of look like christmas elves - on crack!!! - I seem to wear nothing but red and green around the christmas period...ALMOST unconsciously! The amount of times I'd get to work and max would just look me up and down and say, "what're you giving it? elf?!"

See you in the new year for bargains, mont blancs or even just a cafe au lait!!!!!!!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

XMAS SALE

I really hate mince pies, but Pippa says Maison Bertaux makes the best mince pies in town. The way everyone was tucking into them I will have to say they must be good!! At the Shop at Maison B Christmas sale on Dec 18th guests were fed mince pies and wine and given great Eley Kishimoto cosmetics or beach balls with their purchases. Thanks for coming down everyone and saying hello. We know that there are going to be a lot of happy people on Christmas morning!! [And a lot of others made guilty pre-Christmas purchases for themselves while they were Christmas shopping for other people.] But I promise - I'm not naming names or blabbing about what left the shop in the cake boxes cause I don't want to ruin anyone's surprises!

More cake and another champagne for me.....

Yesterday i was a bit rubbish and so was my camera so i thought i'd collect some pictures from Liza and Emma for my birthday party blog....hope someone gets me a new camera for christmas! We all congregated in the cake shop and i have to start with a picture of my stupendous cake which alex got me from Maison Bertaux and was DIVINE!!!!

How much did we love it? It's one of those great cakes where it's impossible to give anyone a slither and you have to have an enormous piece....don't you emma?

James and Daren Babitz came and as the bubbly flowed we were glad we decided not to play a little gig...what were we thinking in the first place? Ima and Paul got into a deep discussion about beards and photoshop....

Max made sure he didn't miss out when the cake came round in between runs to the Vintage House.....

...here he is talking to Paul Long, probably testing his pop knowledge.....
Alex gave me an amazing handbag shaped like a fish which i wished i had photographed just for the look on it's face!!!

Duke and Joe came to my party which made it all the more.....er....LOUD!! They were so excited to be invited as you can see from the crazed looks in their eyes!!!

Duke....

....and Joe!
We then wobbled down to Trisha's where she presented me with a display pannetone, obviously the twins weren't with us by then!...and we had a lorra laughs, especially when Max started singing along with George Michael!!
I really enjoyed it, it's always great to have all your favourite people gathered together and getting along, my ears hurt from laughing and my cheeks burned from champagne as i got the number 1 back to south london........pippa xxxx

Whoopee, it's nearly my birthday......!

Well, i'm actually writing this on my birthday but last night on the eve of my special day i had such a great night out with the girls.....we went to the Whoopee new members club in Mayfair - get me! - to see our friend Ima Doll dance. It was such a great venue, it's a gorgeous old house which has kinda subsided in places so you go between the bar on the ground floor up the rickety stairs to another floor where Ima's pole was set up....Stevie Stewart made her an amaaaazing satin cape which she swished with dramatic aplomb then took her stockings off like a pro and then worked her magic on the pole. This is her in her cape and then twirling in the rafters....

Alex came and picked me up and we had a really good catch-up before the shows started, here's alex and liza, who was stressing a bit with the logistics for ima's show, of course it all went like a dream.....

...and here's me with liza, i look like i've had a few......which i had!
Anyway, as coincidence would have it Bishi and Paloma were also performing that night, Bishi was doing her human jukebox which is soooo fantastic, she did Make it Easy on Yourself for me and alex which is quite a tall order, thos Bacarach ones are deceivingly simple til you come to sing them but she did it GORGEOUS!!!!!!!

What a bevvy of beauties!!!!! Here's a divine photo of Paloma, she's a cracker and her show was great.....more tomorrow i've just realised if i don't go now i'll miss duke and joe's nativity ...i'm so excited!!!!! More tomorrow i'm sure.....pippa xxx

From the grave...

No folks I'm not dead, I've just been away ill and it seems like a million years. Last night was my first proper meal and I had it with friends at the "new" pub at the end of my street. It was the Totnes Castle famous for men bleeding from the head being sworn at by other drunk men holding pool cues and sunburnt women in pink tracksuits but now it is The Star - and a star it is well and truly. Here I am, with one of my friends, and the "Treacle Glazed Gammon with Mashed Celeriac and Red Cabbage" [sounds a bit like one of those porno M&S food ads.]

All I wanna know is now - what the hell has been going on in the shop since I have been away??! As you all know, it is Pippa's birthday on Tuesday so everyone will be around through the day and I will be able to get all the gossip then I hope!!! [What do you mean you didn't know it was her birthday?! Send flowers to Shop at Maison B!!]

BIRTHDAY AND MORE!!

Too much to say about the rest of my birthday weekend - a small party at a bar in the West End then off to a rave in Hackney Wick... Here are a few pics:

Then after a whole days bed rest and a day back in the office, I have had time to put together the two videos I promised of Max fresh from his trip in Hong Kong and another of Pippa trying on the new Eley Kishimoto archive collection for the store!!

And as soon as youTube gets it act together and processes Max I will post him up too.

BIRTHDAY BURLESQUE

I rushed down to The World According To... to help out with the super sample sale after work at my other job. Between Max, Pippa and I we polished off two bottles of wine as a prelude to my birthday celebrations tomorrow. Regular readers of this blog will know however Pippa and I need little excuse to reach for the cork screw! Later all the girls from my other job met at The World According To... cause we planned to go for dinner at the Vietnamese on Wardour Street before they went off to the Lady Luck Club.

Here is Jo, Alex and Jess all raring to go to the party PLUS a shot of my birthday cake made by Pattacake herself Jane "Baps" Lewis. YUM.

Anyway I am sure there will be more ridiculous pictures after this weekend!. In the meantime come down to The World According To... we have Birdy and Silas t's ranging from £5 to £10 HOT! Jeans for £15 and £20! MENTAL and all our AW 06 is already on sale in a pre Christmas clear out. Pick up a Sonia sweater even though you probably shouldn't be spending your Christmas money yet Hahaha.
