SPRING AT MAISON B

Okay - so now you get to see what the Shopgirls do when YOU aren't in the shop... We try on the things we really want and right now its -
THE GIRLY STUFF: it is either the A.P.C. Madras stuff from Jessica Ogden [£55 for a dress!! NO I'm NOT joking!!] OR anything from Eley Kishimoto's Spring Summer collection.
THE T SHIRTS: we are picking out the best Obey prints and it's tough - they are all awesome.

Ladies, don't get sad cause we look so incredible. Trust me - it is the clothes making us that way!! Come downstairs to Maison B and get something hot for yourself from Madame. And upstairs you can pick up a cheesey soufflé which is our new bestie fav for morning tea.

MADAME HAS A HOT POSSEE

I went into Shop at Maison B to help Pippa make some videos of the new stuff there is in store. Maison B is FULL to bursting but somehow Pippa has even made a little "men's area" in the store. Hannah's glad cause she is in on Saturdays and she says that all the fit guys come in then. JUST FOR EYE CANDY THO' cause she already has her own gorgeous boyfriend. :)

Pippa managed to talk the guys at Cuts into modelling a selection of the new men's OBEY t's for us today outside the salon.



And coming soon: Pippa, Hannah and I all modelling the latest OBEY and Eley Kishimoto Spring Summer stuff!! I just have to get the editing done.

summer breeeeeeze!

Writing this with the door open, a gentle breeze wafting my washing on the line....I know it's sign that I should get out more but few things make me happier than being able to hang out the washing....actually forget I said that, makes me sound tres tres tragique, non?

Slightly subdued though today as Liza and Ima went back to Canada for probably quite a few months; the boys will miss them LOADS and so will I, they're like family now...Ima has a new skin-tone costume in rubber that makes her look like a five foot real life doll (prolly 5'8 in heels!!) and I really hope customs don't find it/DO find it! cos it's going to be such a funny story.....after the event!!

Went to see Patrick Wolf at the Astoria the other night which was incredible! I love him, and have known him since he was about 12 years old (jonathan and I were talking about him and Bishi the other day at one of our coffee mornings and how we met her at Pig Lingo, I met Patrick out and about at gigs....and we thought how we weren't doing ANYTHING cool at 12!!! How fabulously precocious they were!!). Anyhoo, the crowd went MENTAL and adore him, and it's so well deserved, he was always going to be huge, it was just a case of when....My favourite moment was when he and Bishi did the Marianne Faithful/Patrick track "Magpie" which is on the new album - go out and buy it IMMEDIATELY!!!!!

Mark Eley swung by on Thursday in his g-wizz which is printed all over in the "flash" print which has become a modern classic and seems to work on any scale - and they're environmentally friendly too!!! And you can buy one!!!!!!!!!

This next week I start rehearsing with my band again after Daren's back from holiday, and in a shameless act of self-promotion I can announce that we've just had our cds pressed, available of course from Shop at Maison Bertaux!

One of those blogs....

I'm trying my best to catch up with myself this weeks as the boys are in Kent and supposedly I can do all those things I never get around to......except it always goes so fast! A couple of lie-ins and you realise you only had time to do something lame like tidy your knicker drawer and shovel all the Bratz into a plastic bag!! The windows are still just as dirty and all those teetering piles of junk mail haven't done anything except grow into a paper mountain!

This is a funny picture of Lucy and me at Jonathan's 40th birthday party, we're so close, especially here where it's almost as though i gave birth to a big baby with a perfect Louise Brooks bob and fully macky!

We had such a great time catching up and laughed so much I was hoarse the next day....nothing like holding court in the kitchen at parties, booze in easy reach, nibbles aplenty, I was careful to avoid the hash CUPCAKES yes, cupcakes! You can see how enthused I become on a couple of glasses of bubbly, you wouldn't want to witness me on a cupcake!

Another good time was our last All About Eve Babitz evening at the George and Dragon, once again holding court on a super-busy night, super-loud too!! Here's James and Pam giving good face, James was a bit preoccupied as he had to be on a plane to LA the next morning at 7am, so he was trying his best not to have too much fun!

Met lots of people I hadn't seen in ages, like Sonja and Jasmina, gorgeous talented ladies, in fact Jasmina used to come to Shop when it first opened when she was a super-cool teen! And Sonja is a film-maker and photographer, look at her myspace! Click here



I had to include this disturbing pic of Paul Gorman, author of The Look and his girlfriend Caz because although you and I know that that is her ear and his tongue it looks like a wierd tube of flesh connecting them like siamese twins - freaky yes?

And I have had time for Henry Hate to tattoo cherries on my neck, which i've been trying to get around to for about 6 months! What a sterling job! I love them so much even though they're weeping and i end up with wisps of hair stuck in the crud! Nick took the pics and even got his own cherries done, so we're a gang!
