Dresden Moll

Hi everyone! I'm back from my long weekend in Dresden and now I need a holiday!! A lot of wurst, a lot of beer and TOO much party ganzen nacht!! Lu was mein host and he showed me all around the city - even though Dresden was completely flattened during WWII in some areas the old buildings still stand and they are so beautiful. All the leaves were orange and yellow. Very beautiful.

One night we went to three parties - the first a punk club [yes I know, me and guitars and ESPECIALLY PUNK] but I saw a really cool band. Three girls calling themselves Sugar Crash. The drummer was so tiny, every time she hit the kick drum she would bounce into the air - I dunno how she did it and sing! The singer is Electric Evelyn - she is a big girl - and she just didnt care. She was wearing pink lurex leggings, and a purple "body tard". She was like BOOM! all over the stage. Then there were another two parties but as the night went on, I remember less and less.

I think the face of my friend Bernd should tell the whole story...
Then every day to get over the night before, would be a good German breakfast waiting for me when I got up


Now I can't wait to find out what Max and Pippa have been up to while I was away. I have some more cool videos to put together of Max talking about his recent trip to Hong Kong and Pippa wearing some more hits from the Eley Kishimoto archive. More soon!

SCHWEINER ROCK!

Well now it is my turn to complain about being tired. But I have been in Liege, Brussels DJing at a party and dancing til 6.30 am, then rushing back on the train, to Brussels and nearly missing the Eurostar - which wouldn't have been so horrible - I'll tell you about all the incredible restaurants in Brussels one day that I have been to. But first I will tell you about my favourite thing in Belgium:

I feel like Alice in Wonderland with everything bigger and smaller and all the beers said "DRINK ME".

The party was by L'armée des bonbons the brain child of DJ Motorcross. Every one who performs at these events makes a bit nutso weirdo noisy electronic music - some like circus music, some love ballads, some like gabba and others, like my new favourite - Dresden band Mash Gordon who make punk with a table FULL of electronic stuff and a guitar. Which is rich coming from me who can be quoted as saying "I hate all music with guitars." Maybe it is the pig masks the guys wear on stage that helps.

It is really great to get away and do my [not so] secret music career stuff. It was also great the time Pippa came with me and was singing on a disused warship wearing rubber knickers in Hamburg come to think of it! But I am looking forward to now rolling into bed and finding out what the latest gossip from the shop is tomorrow
